What is Orange & Gold CORE

CORE uses both web technology and telephone support from our trained Support team, to help UK freelance contractors to run their contracting business cost effectively and with the minimum of fuss.

CORE is suitable for first-time contractors and existing contractors who are looking for a very good value contractor accountancy service. This is a great solution for contractors changing from an umbrella company looking to maximise take-home pay.

How does CORE work for contractors?

If you are new to contracting, the first step will be to set up your new Limited Company using CORE. You will also be guided through registration for taxes and insurances. Orange & Gold can fast track your application for a business bank account - all this from one single registration process.

If you have been contracting for a while, you can transfer your accountancy to Orange & Gold after you have registered with CORE on-line. Of course you will be able to continue using your existing contractor limited company and bank account.

Once you have signed your agency contract and you start working. If you have chosen our entry-level CORE Bronze service, all you have to do is enter timesheet data onto your own web-based portal each week, or month, in order to create an invoice to submit to your agency.

At that point the CORE portal will tell you how much you can draw as net pay, expenses and dividend, how much to retain for the various taxes and who to pay when. It will even text you reminders automatically.

When it comes to filling in forms for the tax office CORE will tell you the amounts to put in the boxes. And if you get into a pickle just email your problem through to Support and they will talk you through. No worries.

You can add to the CORE service at any point if you want additional support on IR35, or mortgage applications, for example.
