We are pleased to say that we have donated over £1,000 towards local charities during 2012 which are as follows: -
Special Care Baby Unit at Stoke Mandeville Hospital – our Christmas card donation was made to this charity which has a close tie with one of our employees. This unit provides intensive care for premature and new born babies.
The Pace Centre in Aylesbury – Look after children with physical disabilities such as Cerebral Palsy and other brain injuries. Dedicated staff provides a loving and inspirational learning environment for each child’s ability to learn despite their disability.
Princes Risborough Day Centre – A much needed contribution was made to this centre that care for elderly clients with mental health issues and learning disabilities.
Brain Tumour Research – Was established in 2008 where valuable funding is needed to research the prevention and treatment of brain tumours.
Taplow Traffic Charity Trust – We have been supporting them for a number of years now. Taplow is a Roads Policing/Traffic Base of Thames Valley Police, from where officers deal with some of the fatal road collisions that tragically occur in the Thames Valley Police area. In 1998 officers at the base held a Christmas raffle and, whilst trying to establish which cause to donate the proceeds to, a couple of officers suggested that perhaps the money could be used to do something for the many children who were bereaved as a result of the fatal collisions they had dealt with. Thus the foundation for the trust was set.
